ALLSTATE ANNOUNCES 650 JOBS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

The American insurance company, Allstate, has said it will create 650 jobs at its Northern Ireland operation over the next three years.  The firm currently employs 1,900 people at its premises in Belfast, Londonderry and Strabane.  Almost 200 of the software development, software testing, infrastructure services and analytics posts have already been filled.  The remaining 450 will be recruited by 2016.

AZTEC MONEY CREATES 100 JOBS AT DUBLIN HQ

A newly established international finance company has announced that it is to set up its global headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 100 jobs.  Aztec Money specialises in linking investors to SMEs and bigger companies to provide instant cash flow.  The company already employs 30 people in Dublin. The 100 new jobs will be multilingual positions in the areas of data processing, marketing, sales and IT.

IRISH WATER TO CREATE 400 JOBS IN CORK

Four hundred new jobs are to be created in Cork at a call centre for Irish Water. The staff will be hired as hundreds of thousands of water meters are installed in homes across the country.  The first hundred workers will be hired in July, with 300 more to be taken in the months ahead.

IT company creates 100 jobs at Dublin site

Cloud computing company Salesforce. com has opened a new operations centre in Dublin with the creation of a 100 new jobs.

The US firm plans to hire people in the areas of sales, marketing, IT and customer support. The company, which already employs 500 staff here, said it hoped to fill the new roles by the end of the year.

Alexion Pharmaceuticals announces 50 jobs for Dublin

US biopharma manufacturer Alexion Pharmaceuticals is to establish a global supply chain facility in Dublin, creating 50 new jobs.

The company has already begun recruiting for a range of positions in quality assurance, quality control, logistics and supply chain functions for its new offices and laboratory.

Irish Water to announce up to 1,600 jobs today

Up to 1,600 new construction jobs are expected to be announced by the new company tasked with collecting water charges today.

The Irish Independent reports that 25% of the new jobs will be reserved for those on the Live Register and will last around three years.

It comes just days after Irish Water announced up to 240 jobs will be created at eight regional offices around the country, while another 400 positions are being rolled out in Abtran call centre in Cork, which will process applications and customer queries in relation to Irish Water's operations.

Cleaning company announces 50 new jobs for Dublin

A Kilkenny-based cleaning company has announced its intention to create 50 new jobs following its expansion into the Dublin market.

Administrative and cleaning positions based at McCreery Contract Cleaning’s new Dublin centre will be filled over the next two years.

The company will initially offer a domestic cleaning services package for people with high value homes in the capital which require a high level of security.
