Pet food manufacturer Gaines are to create 15 new jobs at their facility in Arklow

Gaines Europe, a subsidiary of parent company Rondo Food, will bring total employment in Arklow to 85 people, with the support of Enterprise Ireland.

The jobs will be created predominantly in engineering, development and product manufacturing.

Tesco expansion to create 200 jobs

Tesco Ireland has said it will create over 200 jobs over the next year by opening new stores and mobile phone shops. The company said 80 jobs will be created by the end of this year in its previously announced €70m capital investment programme.

The new positions include 48 jobs at new express stores in Douglas Road, Cork; College Green, Dorset Street, Leonard's Corner and Glasnevin Avenue in Dublin. The company will create 14 jobs at new Tesco mobile phone shops in Maynooth, Tallaght, Drogheda, Clearwater, Wilton and Clare Hall.

Deloitte to take on 200 graduates and 30 professionals

Business advisory firm Deloitte plans to recruit 200 graduates and also has 30 positions available for experienced professionals in Ireland.

The opportunities for graduates are available across a number of different disciplines including audit, tax, consulting, corporate finance and enterprise risk services and will be available in the Dublin, Cork and Limerick offices.

SQS TO CREATE 75 MORE IRISH JOBS

German firm SQS, which is listed on the London stock exchange and employs 200 people in Dublin and Belfast, is to create another 75 jobs as it expands its Irish operations.

The software quality specialist says 50 of the new positions will be based in Dublin and 25 in Belfast. It wants to recruit for 30 of those positions before the end of the year.

The new jobs are high end specialist roles and include software quality engineers, software testing managers, business analysts, performance engineers and software test analysts.

25 JOBS ON THE CARDS FOR CARLOW

Irish family-owned company Burnside Eurocyl, which manufactures hydraulic cylinders, is to create up to 25 jobs as part of a €3.5m expansion of its manufacturing hub, supported by Enterprise Ireland. A number of the new jobs have been filled and the remainder will be filled over the next 18 months, bringing total employment at Burnside to 170.

Dell to create 200 jobs in Dublin as it opens finance unit

Technology firm Dell will add 200 employees to its Irish workforce as the company opens its banking services arm in Dublin. That number is expected to grow to 300 as Dell Financial Services expands.

Dell will establish the EMEA headquarters of Dell Financial Services in Ireland, creating 200 jobs at its Dublin campus in the first phase of the project.

The company, which currently employs around 2,300 people at its campuses in Limerick and Dublin, has located a strategic global hub for operations, services and sales in Ireland, along with an EMEA solution centre and its first Cloud R&D centre.

TRIPADVISOR CREATES 50 DUBLIN JOBS AT DUBLIN HUB

Travel company TripAdvisor is to establish an engineering hub in Dublin, creating at least 50 jobs.  The hub, which will work on new features for the company’s platforms, will be the largest TripAdvisor has created outside the US.

The company said it would initially fill 50 roles in web engineering in the short term, holding out the possibility that further jobs would come. The jobs will be created over the next year, and will be created at all levels, from graduates to more senior levels.
