CUBIC TELECOM TO CREATE MORE THAN 70 JOBS IN DUBLIN

Cubic Telecom, a company specialising in global mobile connectivity, will create more than 70 new jobs over the next three years as part of an investment by Enterprise Ireland, supported by the Department of Jobs,Enterprise and Innovation.  The company has secured a total of $5.2 million in funding from Enterprise Ireland, Qualcomm Incorporated, ACT Venture Capital and TPS Investments.  It said it would use the funds to further expand its operations globally and continue to invest in its software platform and mobile network.  Cublic Telecom is headquartered in Dublin and has offices in the US.

OPEL IRELAND EXPANDS DEALER NETWORK AND SECURES 70 JOBS

Opel Ireland has announced a further expansion to its network with four new car dealerships in Limerick, Offaly, Carlow and Kildare.  A total of 20 new jobs will be created with Hinchy’s in Limerick and six new jobs with the O’Brien Group in Tullamore, Co Offaly.  Meanwhile a further 44 jobs will be secured with the appointment of Fitzpatrick’s Garages in Carlow and Naas.

SALES FIRM TO CREATE 25 JOBS IN DUBLIN

Dublin is to benefit from a jobs boost today, with the creation of 25 new jobs.  Overseas sales consultancy firm, Extra Sales, which specialises in selling Irish owned overseas properties is expanding it's operations over the next two year's.  Six positions will be filled immediately ranging from administration to sales management roles across a variety of countries including China, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain and Russian.

SOFTWARE FIRM ASIDUA TO CREATE 16 NEW JOBS IN DUBLIN

Software and telecoms provider Asidua has revealed plans to create 16 new jobs, more than doubling the company’s headcount.  New expansion plans will see Asidua grow its Dublin office, as well as offer its application and data integration services and solutions based on its customer contact platform and platform for policing.  The company has deployed services based on this software for major clients, including BT, Milton Keynes Council, London Borough of Harrow, Chorley Council, a major UK police constabulary, as well as an international mobile phone operator.

TOPAZ´S DUBLIN AIRPORT OVERHAUL TO CREATE 120 JOBS

Convenience and fuel retailer Topaz is investing €3m in its service station at Dublin airport, which will involve the employment of 100 people during the construction phase and 20 people full time once it’s open.  Work on the new 100 sq m flagship site will begin later this month and it’s expected to be completed by September.

TOURIST EXPERIENCE BRINGS 22 TECH JOBS TO VALENTIA

Thomas Mastaglio, managing director of the Mymic Global computer technology company, yesterday said the company will set up in the former premises of the Valentia Island Cable Company, with the immediate creation of five jobs.  The US-based multinational provides safety training software products for maritimeindustries and plans to move into the offshore wind and wave energy areas.  The IDA is grant-aiding the project, which plans to have a 22-strong workforce in Valentia by 2016.

179 JOBS FOR DUNGANNON MEATS meats firm (Northern Ireland)

The company, which is a subsidiary of Fane Valley Co-operative Society, sources and produces beef and lamb.  A total of 179 new posts, including managerial and production roles, have been created. The expansion of the workforce comes two years after the company built a new facility adjacent to its main processing site at Granville.  "The 179 new production and managerial positions, to be created in Dungannon with support from the Jobs Fund, will generate over £2.5m annually in additional salaries,"

ALLSTATE ANNOUNCES 650 JOBS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

The American insurance company, Allstate, has said it will create 650 jobs at its Northern Ireland operation over the next three years.  The firm currently employs 1,900 people at its premises in Belfast, Londonderry and Strabane.  Almost 200 of the software development, software testing, infrastructure services and analytics posts have already been filled.  The remaining 450 will be recruited by 2016.

AZTEC MONEY CREATES 100 JOBS AT DUBLIN HQ

A newly established international finance company has announced that it is to set up its global headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 100 jobs.  Aztec Money specialises in linking investors to SMEs and bigger companies to provide instant cash flow.  The company already employs 30 people in Dublin. The 100 new jobs will be multilingual positions in the areas of data processing, marketing, sales and IT.
