Energia to create 100 jobs as it enters residential market

Energia said today that it will create 100 new jobs within the next 12 months as part of its planned entry into the residential electricity and gas market.

Based in Dublin and Cork, the new jobs will be in the management, sales, marketing and operational areas of the business. Energia has already recruited 20 of the new positions as part of its residential market preparations.

Online recruiter Indeed creating 100 jobs

ONLINE recruiter Indeed is creating 100 new jobs over the next year.

The Dublin-based company has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations. Indeed has sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages.

Indeed opened its first Dublin office in March last year and has a current workforce of 100. It plans to double that in the next 12 months.

Irish carbon company creating jobs and lowering energy bills

ENERGY SERVICES COMPANY Crowley Carbon is to create 20 jobs in the near future as it continues to expand its operations in Wicklow.

The facility allows the company to monitor, control and alert clients to any event that is causing their equipment to consume more energy that should be required.

The service includes 24/7 monitoring by a team of engineers of 800 different energy-consuming points through a site.

Cork engineering company to create 40 jobs

A Cork engineering company is to create 40 new jobs in its design and manufacturing divisions.

The jobs at Charleville engineering company BCD are the result of a new multi-million euro vaccine plant project in the Asian market.

The north Cork company currently employs 190 staff.

125 new jobs with three companies for Dublin

THREE COMPANIES WILL create 125 new jobs in Dublin, according to announcements this morning.

Cloud computing firm Aditi Technologies is to establish its European Services and Business Development Centre in the capital, creating 40 jobs. The positions will be in consulting and engineering and the hiring process has been described as “gradual”.

Aditi focuses on how businesses can benefit from emerging trends in cloud, social media and mobile which impacts the way organisations operation and how workers interact with systems at home and at work.

Synowledge will set up its international headquarters in Dublin, creating 35 new positions. The Indian company specialises in the provision of drug safety and regulatory affairs services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors.

Activities carried out will include business development for non-US markets, near shore servicing and IP management. The Irish operation will also carry out sales and marketing for the entire Synowledge product portfolio and will provide near-shore delivery of the company’s pharmacovigilance, regulatory and IT services to Europe.

Two former senior managers of the One4All gift card have set up a new customer engagement loyalty company. Value Nation is recruiting 50 people over the next year-and-a-half in Dublin 17.

Deutsche Bank's expansion to create 700 jobs in Dublin

Deutsche Bank has announced that it will generate over 700 jobs in Dublin over the coming years. The German bank, which already employs over 300 people in Ireland, said it plans to significantly grow its operations in Dublin by moving to a new office at EastPoint Business Park. 

The bank, which has had operations in Ireland since 1991, said it aims to create a regional hub and centre of excellence in the city. Deutsche Bank will start recruiting for the new jobs next year. It plans to hire staff to work in trade finance, cash management and technical and operational roles. 

The company said the quality of Ireland's workforce was one of the main reasons it chose Dublin as its location.
