FRENCH SOFTWARE COMPANY CHOOSES DUBLIN OVER FRANCE FOR EXPANSION

French financial software company Sidetrade is to create 90 new jobs in Dublin at a new Shared Services Centre in the city.

The 90 jobs will mostly encompass accounting and financial professionals, marketing and lead generation teams, and customer support personnel in a number of languages to serve companies throughout the EMEA.

IBM is to create 50 jobs in Dublin as part of a new €20 million investment, it was confirmed on Friday.

ARGOS TO HIRE 500 TEMPORARY STAFF FOR CHRISTMAS

Leading high street retailer Argos is looking for 500 seasonal workers across the Republic of Ireland to join existing store teams in the run up to the peak Christmas shopping season.

The retailer intends to recruit 150 staff for Dublin, 60 in Cork and another 50 staff in Limerick.

Contracts for the customer advisor roles are for part-time positions until the end of the Christmas period.

TWENTY JOBS WILL BE CREATED BY AIG INSURANCE COMPANY

Twenty jobs will be created with the establishment of the centre. The expansion is being supported by IDA Ireland.
